This training is developed for pharmacy personnel and other staff working with hazardous drugs. Identifies chemotherapy agents, cancer medication and antineoplastics. Demonstrates recommended procedures for cytotoxic and hazardous drug preparation, administration, spill cleanup, and waste management in order to help reduce risk. The nine sections of this program explain the correct methods for working within engineering controls to maintain safety, the use of personal protective equipment to reduce exposure, and aseptic technique to ensure proper and safe compounding of preparations. Other areas covered include: storage and transport, risk assessment, and decontamination. NOTE: This training kit has many more requirements than the Washington state rule. DVD comes with 130 page book.
