03-05-2015 : A replacement contract for Truck Service bodies will not be released by DES. The current contract has been extended to 12/31/2015. Service Bodies for pick-up trucks and interior upfitting for vans will be provided by awarded vehicle dealers on contracts 03613 & 03813. The following is a letter sent to service vehicle upfitters who attended a vendor forum in 2014: March 5, 2015 TO: Service Body and Van Interior Upfit Vendors FROM: Steve Hatfield, Contracts Specialist SUBJECT: Re-Bid of Washington State Master Contract for Service Bodies Your company has expressed an interest in responding to a future solicitation for Truck Service Bodies and Van Interior Upfitting. DES has made the decision to not release a solicitation and to incorporate these products into existing vehicles contract(s). The current contract for Truck Service Bodies, contract # 06107, has been extended to 12/31/2015. Purchasers will be able to get service vehicle products for new vehicles from either the vehicle contracts or from the currently awarded Truck Service Body vendor. This extension allows time for service vehicle vendors to contact awarded vehicle dealers and discuss sub-contracting for these products. Vehicle dealers were asked to have multiple vendors to ensure product availability and choices for purchasers. Vehicle Dealers are under no obligation to select any specific vendor. 09-26-2014 : CONTRACT EXTENSION STATUSContract 06107 has been extended with PMI Truck Bodies until June 30, 2015 or until implementation of a replacement contract, whichever occurs first.
07-14-2014 : CONTRACT REBID STATUSDevelopment of a replacement contract is underway. A sourcing team has been assembled to determine specifications and other procurement strategies. Award is anticipated before current contract expires.

02-20-2014 : CONTRACT EXTENSIONContract 06107 has been extended until 09/30/2014 or until a replacement contract has been implemented, whichever occurs first to allow more time for the re-bid process. the contract is extended under the same prices terms and conditions.
01-16-2014 : CONTRACT REBIDA replacement contract solicitation is in development. Solicitation 00114, Service Vehicle Upfitting will be released via WEBS once completed. 04-25-2012 : CONTRACT STATUSPMI Truck Bodies has requested a 12% price adjustment on all products. After review with Sarah Mollas, Management Analyst it was determined that a 12% increase was warranted. Contract Amendment #5 was prepared and sent to the contractor for signature. Effective date of price adjustment will be May 22, 2012.

04-09-2010 :  PRICING PAGE UPDATE: Pricing Page updated to reflect removal of Allied Body and Valley Truck as they choose not to extend contract. PMI Truck is only awarded vendor on the contract at this time and they offer steel service bodies only.
02-19-2010 :  AMENDMENT UPDATE: Amendment #4, effective 2/25/10: Autocrane product replaced with Liftmoore product. Three additional Liftmoore cranes and two reinforcements added to contract.

02-10-2010 :  ITEMS ADDED: Add items/change product request under review from PMI. PMI currently provides Autocrane for their crane packages but would like to replace it with Liftmoore. Autocrane has filed for bankruptcy. WSDOT has requested additional size be added be added as well. Changing from Autocrane to Liftmoore presents a savings to the state so request is being reviewed. Request under consideration and outcome posted in the next two weeks.
01-28-2010 :  EXTENSION: Extension, 24 month per Amendment #3, effective 2/5/10: Contract with PMI Truck, for steel service bodies, has been extended for 24 months, March 27, 2010 through March 26, 2012, per amendment #3. Allied Body & Valley Truck contract for fiberglass service bodies will terminate on March 26, 2010 as they choose not to extend contract due to minimal and/or no sales activity. All Pricing, terms & conditions remain unchanged. unchanged.
01-28-2010 :  WSDOT UPDATE: 1/26/10-WSDOT has stated they do not foresee any future fiberglass orders and that they are fine with one (PMI Truck) vendor for steel bodies remaining.
01-22-2010 :  WSDOT UPDATE: WSDOT had identified this contract as critical. Notified WSDOT that Allied & Valley are not proceeding with contract extension for fiberglass bodies. Asked WSDOT if they foresee any significant fiberglass orders in the future as I then may further negotiate with Allied & Valley for extension. WSDOT had no sales with either Allied or Valley since contract was awarded. WSDOT/Joe will provide me the information in the next few days.

01-08-2010 :  PMI UPDATES: PMI Truck Bodies extension paperwork has been received stating they are interested in a 24 month extension (3/27/10 to 3/26/12). Contracts Specialist will initiate extension paperwork and submit to management for approval. Anticipated approval date is mid-February.
01-08-2010 :  CONTRACT UPDATE: Valley Truck repair will not be proceeding with a contract extension due to their disappointment in their supplier of fiberglass bodies.
12-22-2009 :  CONTRACT UPDATE: Allied Body Works will not be proceeding with a contract extension due to lack of sales. Awaiting word from the other two vendors (PMI Truck & Valley Truck) on their acceptance of the State's extension offer. Their response is due by Jan. 7, 2010.
12-14-2009 :  Extension offers for an additional 24 months (3/27/10 to 3/26/12) has been sent to all three vendors after careful review of comments received from agencies/poly subs. Paperwork due from vendors on Jan. 7, 2010.
12-10-2009 :  Received 2 "Contractor Feedback"/Vendor & Contractor Performance Feedback forms. One for vendor PMI from Parks with excellent comments and wish to extend contract. One for vendor Allied from City of Lynnwood however comments were for a non-contract item so feedback does not apply.

Please "Submit Contractor Feedback"/Vendor & Contractor Performance Feedback form, by 11/19/09, if you have any concerns that should be addressed prior to extension process.
