Unemployment Benefits Reports

The monthly unemployment benefits reports are updates for Washington state.

The Labor Market and Performance Analysis division produces monthly unemployment benefits reports by legislative district, congressional district and county. Also included are monthly reports on federally funded extended benefits and outstanding loan balances from the federal unemployment insurance trust fund. These reports include out-of-state claimants.

We provide this data in four reports:

  • Unemployment benefits by legislative district.
  • Unemployment benefits by congressional district.
  • Unemployment benefits by county.
  • Outstanding federal unemployment insurance debt.

The data source for benefit payments is the U.S. Dept. of Labor, ETA 5159, Claims and Payment Activities. The trust fund balance source is the U.S. Dept. of Labor, ETA 2112, UI Financial Transaction Summary, Unemployment Fund; state borrowing, Federal Unemployment Account (FUA).

The Labor Market and Performance Analysis division also provides information on Washington state’s unemployment insurance trust fund current and projected balances, benefits and employer contributions at the Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund Forecast website.
