Description This addendum to the 2018 Quality Assurance Monitoring Plan for the Puget Sound Sediment Monitoring Program provides details about changes to the program in 2019. It also includes information about three additional projects and leveraged sampling to be conducted for several regional partners. These three projects are:

• Pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs) and perfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) in two urban bays: 24 PFASs will be measured in the Sediment Program’s Port Gardner/Everett Harbor and Budd Inlet sampling frames, and 119 PPCPs will be measured in the Budd Inlet sampling frame.

• Cornwall Avenue Landfill sediment sampling: Sediment grab samples will be collected from three Bellingham Bay intertidal stations at the request of the Washington State Department of Ecology’s Toxics Cleanup Program.

• Invertebrate Genomics Initiative: Benthic invertebrates will be collected for photographic image archiving, DNA sequencing, and morphological identification as part of the Western Association of Marine Laboratories and Smithsonian Institution’s West Coast Invertebrate Genomics Initiative.
