Description Ecology is leading the effort to clean up sources of contamination from the land area surrounding the Lower Duwamish Waterway (LDW) Superfund Site. The short-term goal is to control land-based sources of pollution enough that EPA can begin their cleanup of the river sediments. The long-term goal is to minimize recontamination of the river sediment and restore water quality in the river. This information sheet focuses on cleanup sites managed by Ecology’s Toxics Cleanup Program.
REQUEST A COPY The mission of the Department of Ecology is to protect, preserve, and enhance Washington’s environment. To help us meet that goal, please consider the environment before you print or request a copy.
