Description In 2012, Ecology evaluated children’s products for phthalates and metals as well as children’s cosmetic and personal care products for parabens and metals. The studies found reportable levels of metals, phthalates, and parabens in Halloween-themed children’s products. In 2014 and 2015, Ecology followed up with a series of seven seasonal product studies to evaluate the presence of CHCCs in children’s seasonal products that are not typically available year round and to determine if the products comply with Washington’s laws and rules. This report details those results.
