Quilcene-Snow Watershed Planning Area: Prediction of Gaged Streamflows by Modeling
Quilcene-Snow Watershed Planning Area: Prediction of Gaged Streamflows by Modeling (Number of pages: 62) (Publication Size: 7455KB)
|Description||In the Quilcene-Snow watershed planning area (WRIA 17 excluding the Sequim Bay watershed), the Department of Ecology operates 5 active flow gaging stations and has 3 historical stations.
This report presents:
• Regression-based models that predict flows for these stations using the hydrograph separation method.
• A quality assessment of the models.
• Recommendations for support of flow gaging stations.
The flow information needs of local partners and the state should be compared to the quality of the models to determine whether models or direct flow measurements meet those needs.
