|Description||The Tacoma Smelter Plume covers a 1,000 square mile area of King, Pierce and Thurston counties. The Washington Department of Ecology is addressing soil contamination on child play areas and residential yards. This FAQ explains two key concepts that Ecology uses to make cleanup decisions and the science behind them.|
