* Second value has been adjusted for flow. Flow-adjusted values are re-calculated annually and therefore may change as the flow relationship changes.

Explanation of graphs

Graph 1: WQI scores

  • Shows constituent and monthly WQI scores for the most recently calculated water year.

Graph 2: Scores by constituent

  • Only shown for stations with more than one year's data.
  • Shows annual constituent scores "rolled up" to produce a score for each constituent for each year.*
  • Use to identify critical constituents.

Graph 3: Scores by month

  • Only shown for stations with more than one year's data.
  • Shows monthly constituent scores "rolled-up" to produce a score for the month the constituents were sampled.
  • Use to identify critical months. (Actual results for any particular month can viewed by going to the finalized data tab for this station.)

Graph 4: Trend in overall WQI scores

  • Only shown for stations with more than one year's data.
  • Shows overall scores for each water year since 1992 in which data were collected.
  • For our 62 long-term stations, also shows annual flow-adjusted WQI scores (flow-adjusting statistically removes the effects of flow on the water quality score).
  • This graph can be used to visually identify trends in overall scores.

* For information about the constituents we monitor, see important parameters for the water quality summary
