Thank you for your interest in becoming a Foster Parent. Prospective Foster Parents must complete an Orientation training, prior to attending Caregiver Core Training. Orientation is designed to help guide participants through the licensing process, and provide a brief overview on what foster parenting is all about. You will get to meet other prospective foster parents and will have a licensor available to answer any questions that you may have. The licensor will discuss the minimum licensing requirements and also help you with the required paperwork. Licensing application packets will be provided. Orientation can be completed online, however attending an in-person class is encouraged; its the best opportunity to ask any questions you have. We look forward to meeting with you soon This 3-hour Orientation must be taken prior to the 24-hour Caregiver Core training. |
