IVIPS Will Shut Down on December 9, 2016
DOL is modernizing our outdated vehicle and vessels
computer systems, including IVIPS.
The IVIPS system
will no longer be available as of December 9, 2016
at 5 p.m. The IVIPS system will change to E-Services
Contracted Plate Search (CPS), and registered users
can access the new system on December 12, 2016.
Important billing information: Searches conducted from December 1 – 9, 2016 in
IVIPS will be added to your November bill.
You'll receive your November bill after December 12.
You'll receive a bill for searches conducted after December 12
in Contracted Plate Search in January.
In anticipation of this change, we strongly encourage
you to create a new business License eXpress account.
You may register for a new account as early as
November 7, 2016, before the system goes live
on December 12, 2016.
If you are a main account administrator, you will
receive additional information through email,
which contains a PIN number you’ll use to register
for your new account. Once you establish your account,
you will need to create new accounts for your authorized

Effective on June 9, 2016, disclosure provisions for vessel records are included in RCW 46.12.630, 635 and 640, establishing a fee of $2.00 for individual vessel records.
When Your Password Expires
Update an expired password by typing a new password in the box provided, then type that new password again in the Verify password box. Then click the Submit button. Passwords are case sensitive, must be 5 to 7 characters in length, and can consist of letters, numbers and characters in any combination.
Agreement Applications are due 30 days prior to contract expiration and reminders are no longer provided. The Agreement Application is available on our website at
Failure to renew may result in cancellation of your account and your IVIPS access so please review your existing agreement and mark your calendar to remind you to submit the application 30 days before it expires.
