Action: Closes smelt fishery, prior to the scheduled closing date of March 31.

Effective dates: March 11, 2010.

Species affected: Eulachon smelt.

Location: Columbia River.

Reason for action: The 2010 mainstem fisheries were developed to act as a test fishery in an effort to gauge the abundance of 2010 return.
