FISHING RULE CHANGE
WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND WILDLIFE 600 Capitol Way North, Olympia, WA 98501-1091 |

Action:
Increase the daily limit from 5 to no daily limit.
Effective dates:
Immediately through Oct. 19, 2008
Species affected:
Humboldt squid
Location:
Grays Harbor, Marine Area 2-2.
Reasons for action:
A large number of dead and dying Humboldt squid are in the Westport Boat Basin. These squid have spawned and increased harvest will not pose any conservation concerns for this species. There is insufficient time to promulgate permanent rules.
