FISHING RULE CHANGE

Action:
Opens Oak Harbor for coho fishing.
Effective Date:
Effective immediately.
Species affected:
Coho salmon.
Location:
Oak Harbor westerly of a line from Forbes Point to Blowers Bluff in Marine Area 8-1.
Reason for action:
Surplus hatchery coho returning to the net pen facility in the Harbor are available for harvest.
Other information:
Daily limit is 2 coho salmon only. Anglers must immediately release all other salmon caught. Boat handling rule is in effect for all salmon except coho. Anglers may not bring salmon other than coho aboard a vessel
("aboard a vessel" is defined as inside the gunwale). All other waters of Marine Area 8-1 remain closed to salmon fishing until November 1.
