Action:
Open that section of the Skykomish River near Reiter Ponds Hatchery currently listed in the 2007/2008 Fishing in Washington Sport Fishing Rules Pamphlet as closed waters to recreational steelhead fishing June 1 through 8:00 a.m. Aug. 1.
Effective date:
6 a.m., July 21, 2007.
Species affected:
Trout, Dolly Varden/bull trout, and all other gamefish.
Location:
Skykomish River 1,500 feet upstream to 1,000 feet downstream of the Reiter Ponds hatchery outlet.
Reason for action:
Reiter Ponds Hatchery has collected enough summer steelhead broodstock to meet egg-take goals.
Other information:
In the section of the Skykomish River 1,500 feet upstream and 1,000 feet downstream of the Reiter Ponds Hatchery outlet, fishing from a floating device prohibited from July 21 through Feb. 29 and a night closure and non-buoyant lure restriction from July 21 through Nov. 30.
