FISHING RULE CHANGE

Action:
Beginning Aug. 11, Marine Areas 1 Ilwaco, 2 Westport, 3 LaPush and 4 Neah Bay open to salmon fishing 7 days per week and two Chinook are allowed to be retained as part of the two salmon daily limit.
Effective dates:
Aug. 11, 2006.
Species affected:
All Salmon.
Location:
Area 1- Ilwaco, Area 2- Westport/Ocean Shores, Area 3- LaPush, Area 4- Neah Bay.
Reasons for action:
More angling opportunity can be provided while staying within quotas for Chinook and coho.
Other information:
These areas were previously open five days per week with only one Chinook allowed as part of the two salmon daily limit. In Area 4 the area east of the Bonilla-Tatoosh line will remain closed to the retention of Chinook beginning August 1. The LaPush Late Season Area fishery will be unchanged except for allowing two Chinook as part of the two salmon daily limit.
