FISHING RULE CHANGE

Action:
Discovery Bay was previously scheduled to be open June 28 in addition to earlier days. The spot shrimp quote was harvested in the previous openers and therefore it will not reopen on June 28.

Location:
Marine Area 6 inside the Discovery Bay Shrimp District.
Reason for action:
The State share of shrimp has been taken in the first two days of harvest.
Additional information:
Marine Area 6, outside of the Discovery Bay Shrimp District will remain open Thursdays through Sundays for all shrimp species; daily limit is 10lbs (heads and tails) with a maximum of 120 spot shrimp, until quota is reached.
