FISHING RULE CHANGE

Action:
This opens Marine Areas 7 South and 7 East for two more days of recreational spot shrimp harvest.
Effective date:
June 26 and June 27, 2019.
Species affected:
All shrimp species including spot shrimp.
Location:
Marine Area 7.
Reason for action:
The target share for recreational spot shrimp has not been taken in these areas. Additional days of fishing are being added to take the target State share of spot shrimp.
Additional information:
Some marine areas including 4, 5, 6 (outside the Discovery Bay Shrimp District) and 7 West remain open for spot shrimp fishing. Several other marine areas are open for coonstripe and pink shrimp fishing. Check WDFW's website at https://wdfw.wa.gov/fishing/shellfish/shrimp/ for more information.
