Lincoln Park Pond in Port Angeles to close temporarily

Action: Temporarily close the Lincoln Park pond in Port Angeles to all fishing.

Effective date: April 2 through April 7, 2017.

Species affected: Hatchery rainbow trout.

Location: The pond in Lincoln Park, Port Angeles (Clallam County).

Reason for action: The annual kids fishing derby is scheduled for Saturday, April 8. Closing the pond for the week preceding the derby will allow cleaning and preparation of the area around the pond, while protecting the trout to be planted as they acclimate during the week prior to the derby.
