FISHING RULE CHANGE
WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND WILDLIFE 600 Capitol Way North, Olympia, WA 98501-1091 |
September 13, 2016
Action:
Extends trout fishing in South Pond at Bogachiel Hatchery. The pond has been planted with catchable rainbow trout, and is open 7 days per week. The daily limit remains the statewide standard of 5 trout, and other statewide regulations apply.
Effective date:
Immediately through Jan. 2, 2017.
Species affected:
Hatchery rainbow trout.
Location:
The Bogachiel Hatchery South Pond.
Reason for action:
The South Pond is continuing to see fishing activity, and catchable numbers of trout are present in the pond. The pond was initially opened to trout fishing because of recent restrictions to general public access to Wentworth Lake, where hatchery trout were normally planted.
