FISHING RULE CHANGE
WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND WILDLIFE 600 Capitol Way North, Olympia, WA 98501-1091 |
October 1, 2015
Action:
Removes fishing restrictions for Black River within Grays Harbor and Thurston counties.
Effective date:
Oct. 2, 2015
Species affected:
All species.
Location:
Black River from the mouth upstream to Black Lake
Reasons for action:
Black River was closed to protect fish during unusually low water conditions. Recent rains and cooling temperatures have increased water levels, allowing fish to move more freely upriver and alleviating the need for additional protection.
Other information:
Angling for salmon and gamefish will reopen as listed in the Sport Fishing Rules 2015/2016 pamphlet edition, FISHING IN WASHINGTON.
Information Contact:
Mike Scharpf, District Fish Biologist, 360-249-1205
