Boundary marker for Dungeness Bay closure and fishery replaced temporarily with GPS coordinates

Action: GPS coordinates 123 degrees 5.61'W, 48 degrees 11.55'N. will replace the #2 Red Buoy temporarily as the boundary marker.

Effective Date: Immediately until further notice.

Species affected: Salmon.

Location: Marine Area 6 located near Dungeness Bay: waters westerly of a line from Dungeness Spit Light to 123 degrees 5.61'W, 48 degrees 11.55'N, and then to the Port Williams boat ramp.

Reason for action: The #2 Red Buoy has detached, so the identical location is being used as a boundary marker. #2 Red Buoy will be used again as a boundary marker once it is reattached.

Other information: Regulations within the Dungeness Bay closure and fishery remain unchanged. Dungeness Bay is closed to salmon fishing except from Oct. 1 through Oct.31 with a daily limit of 2 coho only. Anglers should consult the Fishing in Washington, Sports Fishing Rules pamphlet for specific regulations for other waters in Marine Area 6 which remain unchanged.
