Salmon fishing opens south of Foulweather Bluff and Olele Point

Action: Opens salmon fishing.

Effective Date: 12:01 a.m. Aug. 16, through 11:59 p.m. Aug. 31, 2014.

Species affected: Salmon.

Location: Marine Area 9 (Admiralty Inlet), south of a line from Foulweather Bluff to Olele Point.

Reason for action: This area is closed during the chinook mark-selective fishery in compliance with state and tribal management plans. The chinook mark-selective fishery ends on August 15. Surplus coho are available for harvest.

Other information: Daily limit is 2 salmon. Release chinook and chum. Shoreline anglers are reminded to respect private property adjacent to Salsbury Point Park. Anglers should consult the Fishing in Washington, Sports Fishing Rules pamphlet for specific
