Coastal lingcod fishing area closure

Action: Closes a portion of Marine Area 1 to lingcod fishing.

Effective Dates: 12:01 a.m. Aug. 27, 2011 until further notice.

Species affected: Lingcod

Location: That portion of Marine Area 1 from 46 degrees N 38'10" to 46 degrees N 28'00".

Reason for Action: Reduce impacts to two overfished bottomfish species: Yelloweye and canary rockfish.
