The Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission (“Commission”) receives its authority through Washington Administration Code (WAC) Title 139.
The Commission meets the second Wednesday during the months of March, June, September, and December of each year. The meetings are held at the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission at 19010 1st Avenue S., Burien, WA 98047. All meetings begin at 10 AM and are held in room E-154. Approximately one week before each meeting, a meeting agenda is posted on our website outlining what topics will be discussed at the meeting. Changes to times and locations of meetings will be included in the agendas.
All changes to our rules are approved by our Commissioners. Proposed rule changes are discussed at Commission meetings. Since the Commission meets on a quarterly basis, rules will be “Up for Final Action.” When rules are Up for Final Action, the Commission may choose to adopt the rules, hold them over for further discussion, or completely remove them from the agenda. Text of proposed rule changes and explanations of the changes will also be posted here.
Commission meetings are open to the public. If you have comments regarding the proposed rule change, you are encouraged to attend the Commission meeting and address the Commission in person. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please send your comments in writing, and they will be forwarded to the Commission for consideration.
