Target Audience:

Individuals who provide Advanced Firearms Training for the WSCJTC and have a Master Firearms Instructor Certification.


Learning Objectives:

Review BLEA Firearms curriculum regarding best practices and training methods, in a group discussion, facilitated by the course instructor/s.

Review the Firearms Advanced Training Curriculum regarding best practice and training methods, in a group discussion, as facilitated by the course instructor/s.

Develop recommendations regarding the Firearms curriculum for BLEA and Advanced Training, documenting these recommendations during a group activity.

Develop specific curriculum, given recommendation, as a course assignment.

Demonstrate shooting skills, given a series of shooting qualifications for handgun, rifle and shotgun, in a live fire test on the range.

Participate in advanced training activities provided as part of the course, as facilitated by the instructor.

As a group, develop specialized training for struggling shooters using the materials provided in class.


Required Equipment:

  • Firearms
  • Patrol Rifle
  • Shotgun
  • Handgun
  • Ammunition for all weapons- 500 handgun, 250 shotgun slug and buckshot, 250 patrol rifle rounds.

Dress Code & Identification:

  • Visitors attending training at WSCJTC are encouraged to wear their agency logo shirt/uniform or agency ID badge while on campus.  If you are not wearing agency identification, you will be asked to check in at the front desk and will be provided with a clip-on visitor's identification card.

Cost: $300 Applicants agency provides ammunition.

Failure/Cancellation/No Show:

  • FEE: $300 for “No Shows”, late cancellations, and failure to pass the entrance qualification.

Please Note: This is not a waiting list.  You will not be contacted by WSCJTC unless there is enough interest to generate a class being scheduled.  At that time we will contact everyone that has shown interest so that applications can be submitted.
