Advanced Concepts in Motor Learning and Performance for Motor Skills Instructors Course #2067

Course Description:

In order to ensure solid grounding in the precepts surrounding motor skill instructional methodology and to better prepare Master Instructors for delivering the “motor leaning” portion of various instructor courses, this course will guide the student through the theoretical concepts developed from scientific research in the area of motor learning and performance.

  • The participant will learn and understand the science based concepts and practices related to psycho-motor skills instruction.
  • This course is a prerequisite for Master Instructors in lieu of the general Instructor Development course.
  • In order to accommodate agency participants, this 80 hour course is delivered in a combination of at-home-self-study and classroom format. Therefore, the course has a pre-requisite of completion of  200 questions  (based on the required textbook--test will be uploaded before selections are completed) that must be submitted prior to acceptance into the course.
