Communications Training Officer II (CTO II), Course #0752

This 24-hour (3 day) course was designed using many of the principles and elements of the RENO/COPS model used for PTO training for law enforcement. It has additional elements recommended by the statewide workgroup that worked for a year to put together the model they called the WA Comm Adult Training Model (ATM).

This is an experiential course designed for course participants to use program elements hands-on, taking a trainee from day one of CTO training to the last day of CTO training.

Materials from the course will be provided to class participants to take back to their agencies and will include all the information below and provided in class.

Pre-requisites:

There are no prerequisites for this class, however, we highly recommend completion of a basic CTO course if possible. 

Persons with T1 and T2 certifications will be given selection preference in order to assist them in meeting their continuing education requirements.

  • Currently employed as a telecommunicator at a recognized PSAP in the State of Washington

 

Who can attend our classes?

  • Public safety telecommunicators employed at a recognized PSAP in the State of Washington.
  • Employees from other call centers, government agencies or security departments will not be accepted.

Schedule:

  • 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Dates and locations listed below.

Cancelation Policy:

  • Notification to our office is required two (2) weeks before the start of class
  • Student no shows or cancelations less than two (2) weeks before class are billed $125.
  • Materials may be required to be returned to our office.

 

Retesting

There is no test for this class.
