Collision Investigation- Basic, Course #0201

Teach basic techniques to investigate collisions while keeping it easy to understand. Upon successfully completing this course, the students will have a basic knowledge of photography, marks on the roadway, information from vehicles, lamp analysis, blood draws, and scene diagramming.  Review of some basic math and formulas for calculating a vehicle’s minimum speed prior to the collision.  Material will be provided by CJTC which will also be used in future collision classes.

Cost: $50

Collision Investigation- Advanced, Course #0202

Upon successfully completing this course, the students will have a working knowledge of photography, marks on the roadway, information from vehicles, lamp analysis, blood draws, and the human factors associated with collisions. They will also review the concepts of Newtonian physics and how they apply to collision investigations.  In addition to formulas learned in the Basic Collision Investigation curriculum, students will learn and apply new formulas for momentum, time-distance-speed-velocity, and airborne scenarios, along with vector diagramming. A good grasp of the associated mathematical formulas is a must for successful completion of this course.

Cost: $50

Collision Investigation- Technical, Course #0203

Upon successfully completing this course, the students will have a working knowledge and expand upon the knowledge gained in both the Basic and Advanced Collision Investigation
