FBI Crime Scene Processing & Introduction to Forensics, Course #5501
This is a basic level course for detectives and other law enforcement personnel that are new to processing crime scenes. The course is taught by multiple members of the Federal Bureau of Investigation Evidence Response Team. It includes classroom instruction and practical exercises outside of the classroom.
Instruction Topics Include:
The course ends with the students dividing into teams and processing a mock crime scene, using the techniques learned from the course. It is a fast-paced course and each block of instruction builds on the ones before it.
Dress Code & Identification:
Visitors attending training at WSCJTC are encouraged to wear their agency logo shirt/uniform or agency ID badge while on campus. If you are not wearing agency identification, you will be asked to check in at the front desk and will be provided with a clip-on visitor's identification card.
