CHIP stands for the Children's Health Insurance Program and is the name of the DSHS program for children under age 19 in the state of Washington.  The CHIP managed care program offers eligible children a comprehensive medical benefit package.   CHIP is for children who do not have other medical coverage and whose family income is too high for Medicaid.  For information, call 1-800-562-3022.
