If you have a written burn permit from DNR, burning is allowed subject to the conditions of your permit. In most cases burning is not allowed when conditions reach a moderate or high fire danger.
For land clearing burning, please contact Southwest Clean Air Agency at 1-800-633-0709.
For residential burning of piles larger than 4 by 4 by 3 feet, a permit is required. Please contact you local fire department, town hall, or call the Wahkiakum Public Works Department at 360-795-3301.
For silvicultural burning or burning on unimproved land you may burn piles less than 10 by 10 feet October 16 through June 30 under the Department of Natural Resources rule burning regulations. July 1 through October 15, the piles must be less than 4 by 4 feet.
