In the unincorporated areas of Snohomish county permits are required for a burn pile larger than four feet by four feet. For a silviculture burn permit contact the Department of Natural Resources at (360)856-3500. For a residential yard waste burn permit contact your local fire department. As of July, 1, 2008 all land clearing burning in Snohomish county was permanently banned.
