Beginning Thursday October 1st, 2009 at 8:00 AM the burn ban will be lifted in San Juan County. In the unincorporated areas of San Juan county permits are required for a burn pile larger than four feet by four feet. For a silviculture burn permit contact the Department of Natural Resources at (360)856-3500. For a land clearing permit contact the San Juan County Fire Marshals Office at (360)378-3473.
