A series of 134 points (each representing a specific lake described in WSB57) were created and moved to correspond with the DNR Hydro polygon layer. Each point was given a value in the DNR_CD field to describe the accuracy of the match. By virtue of the point being within the boundaries of the appropriate polygon, users can create a spatial join or other spatial overlay that will allow them to apply the attributes of the WSB57 to their polygon hydro layer of choice.
There are five tables that relate to the main GIS feature class attribute table (wsb57_points) using WSB57_CD as the relate/join field. The wsb57_main, wsb57_wq1, wsb57_apdx_b, and wsb57_apdx_c tables have separate metadata documents describing only the attributes and their definitions. Since the wsb57_wq2 table shares the same attribute definitions as the wsb57_wq1 table, attribute definitions for wsb43_wq1 can be applied to the wsb57_wq2 table. The following is a summary of the related tables and what they contain:
1) wsb57_main: Contains the information that appears in the physical data and cultural data sections of WSB57. 2) wsb57_wq1: Contains the water quality data for sample site 1 (if present). 3) wsb57_wq2: Contains the water quality data for sample site 2 (if present). 4) wsb57_apdx_b: Contains a summary of 1976 TSI and 1981 TSI and CV values for the 134 lakes described in WSB57. 5) wsb57_apdx_c: Contains a summary of TSI and CV values data for 777 lakes that are described in WSB43 and WSB57. This table is cross referenced to the WSB57_CD field as well as the WSB43_CD in the Water Supply Bulletin dataset (also distributed through the WA DNR website).
